Being honest about the drive
Mariposa has its own dentists, and for a lot of households that is the sensible answer. The people who come down Highway 49 to us usually have a specific reason: a piece of work they want done here, a family that has been coming for years, or a plan they want a second opinion on. Nobody should make this drive without deciding it is worth it to them.
What we can do is make the trip earn its keep. Longer appointments planned in advance, more done per visit where that is clinically sound, and a straight answer on the phone about whether you need to come at all.
What the practice covers
Dr. Robert J. Brosi is a general dentist. General dentistry covers most of what a household needs across a lifetime, and where a case belongs somewhere else you will hear it before treatment starts.

How a long-distance appointment is built
Tell the front desk you are driving from Mariposa when you book. It changes the length of the slot that gets held, not just the time of day it falls. Where more than one tooth needs attention, ask whether the work can be combined into a single longer visit. Teeth on the same side can often be treated under one anesthetic, which removes an entire round trip.
What cannot be compressed is anything waiting on a laboratory or on healing. The useful question is not how to eliminate those gaps but how few separate trips the whole plan can be arranged into.
Hours are Monday to Wednesday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Thursday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Ask for the first appointment of the day if the drive makes a late start awkward.
Moving your records rather than starting over
If you are changing practices, ask your current office to release your records and recent images before the first appointment here. Most will want that request in writing. Recent x-rays are the part that matters, because having them saves repeating imaging and gives us something to compare against rather than a single snapshot with no history.
