General & family dentistry · Oakhurst, California

Dentistry done carefully,
and explained honestly.

One dentist, one office, and a team that has been together for years rather than months. We find out what is actually wrong before we treat it, recommend the most conservative option that will hold, and tell you what it costs before you agree to it.

  • One dentist You see Dr. Brosi, every visit
  • 40+ years In practice since 1981
  • No commission Nobody here is paid to sell you treatment

Why patients stay

One dentist. One office. Four decades.

Most of our patients were referred by someone who already comes here. In a practice this size that is the only marketing that has ever really worked, and it only works if the care holds up.

Dr. Brosi earned his DDS from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1981 and has been in practice ever since. The team has been together for years rather than months, which means the person who cleans your teeth in October is the same person who did it in April, and they remember what you said last time.

That continuity is not a marketing line. It is the difference between a dentist who notices a crack that was not there eighteen months ago and one who is meeting your mouth for the first time. Small problems get caught while they are still small, which is the only reliable way to keep dentistry affordable.

More about Dr. Brosi
  • Diagnosis you can see

Digital images come up on the screen while you are in the chair. If we say a tooth needs work, you get to look at the same picture we are looking at.

  • No pressure, ever

You will hear what we found, what the options are, and what happens if you wait. Then you decide. Nobody here works on commission.

  • Conservative by default

The smallest treatment that will actually hold. Enamel does not grow back, so we do not remove more of it than the situation requires.

  • Straight answers on cost

You get the number before treatment starts, not after. We will also tell you what your plan is likely to do, and what it probably will not.

Treatment

From a routine cleaning to a full rebuild.

General dentistry for the whole family, plus the restorative and cosmetic work that rebuilds a tooth once a filling is no longer enough.

Our standard of care

The unglamorous parts are the ones that decide the outcome.

Most dental work fails for boring reasons. A margin that was not quite sealed. A crack that was noted but not followed. Gum disease treated once and never maintained. A crown placed on a tooth that needed a root canal first.

None of that shows up in a photograph. It shows up eight years later, in whether the tooth is still there. That is the part of this job we take seriously.

  • We examine before we treat

A full look at the teeth, gums, bite and soft tissue, with imaging where it changes the answer. Treating a symptom without finding its cause is how people end up paying twice.

  • We treat the disease first

Active decay and gum disease get handled before anything cosmetic or complex. Building on an unstable foundation is the most common way good dentistry fails early.

  • We keep as much tooth as we can

Enamel does not grow back. Where a smaller restoration will hold, that is what we do, and where it will not, we say so rather than buying a year at the cost of the tooth.

  • We follow what we find

A crack noted this year gets checked next year. Continuity is the whole advantage of seeing the same dentist and the same hygienist over time.

In their words

What patients actually say.

Published as written, with only obvious typing errors left alone.

  • Dr. Brosi is an excellent dentist. Up to date with the new digital x-ray technology, in house work done of fine quality. Very gentle, no pain, great staff. Keeps the staff for years, not weeks. USC grad dentist. I would give Dr. Brosi 6 stars if I could. And he will save you money in the long run. Good advice. Listen to him and his staff. They are on your side with good advice.

New patients

What the first visit looks like.

  1. Before you arrive

Fill in the new patient forms at home so we are not doing paperwork on your time. Bring a list of your medications and your insurance card if you have one.

  2. The examination

A full look at the teeth, the gums, the bite and the soft tissue, including an oral cancer screening. Images as needed. We take the time to do this properly the first time.

  3. The conversation

What we found, in plain language, with the pictures on the screen. Priorities, options, and the cost of each. Nothing gets scheduled until you say so.

Before you call

Questions we get most.

If yours is not here, the phone is faster than any web page.

Are you taking new patients?

Yes. Call the office at (559) 683-4694 or send an appointment request through the website and our scheduling coordinator will call you back to confirm a time.

What are your office hours?

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Thursday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The office is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Where exactly are you?

The office is at 49414 Road 426 in Oakhurst, just off Highway 41. Mail goes to PO Box 2407, Oakhurst, CA 93644. The Contact page has directions and a map.

Do you take my insurance?

Dental plans differ enough that the only reliable answer is a direct one. Call the office with your plan details and we will tell you how your benefits are likely to apply before you commit to anything.

What if I have a dental emergency?

Call the office as early in the day as you can and say it is an emergency. We hold time in the schedule for this. For difficulty breathing or swallowing, spreading facial swelling, a head injury, or bleeding you cannot control, call 911 or go to an emergency department instead.

How do I pay?

The office accepts cash, personal checks, money orders and most major credit cards. Payment is due at the time of service. CareCredit is accepted for treatment you would rather pay for over time.
